Kindergeld Application Process

Generally every child receives Kindergeld in Germany from birth until age of 18 and age depends on several conditions. 

How to apply for Kindergeld ?

Documents required:

1. Birth Certificate of the Child 

For the children born in Germany, you would have received a birth certificate on which it is clearly mentioned it is for the use of "KinderGeld" application.

You should send this original copy  ( Caution: The birth certificate on which purpose of use is mentioned as Kindergeld) 

2. Steuer Identifikations-nummer of the child

3.  Your Bank details, where you would like to receive the money

Process:

1. Download application form online (Application Form direct link:

2. Fill the form, sign it
3. Attach the birth certificate of the child 
4. Send it via Post to the Familien Kasse which is responsible for your location(you can google it here: https://www.kindergeld.org/familienkassen/baden-wuerttemberg/  )

        You will receive confirmation within 2 to 4 weeks.
