Cucumber Raita(Salad)

Cucumber Raita is an Indian summer salad made using yogurt, chopped cucumber, onions, tomatoes, green chilly and garnished with coriander leaves.  


Ingredients:                                                         

yogurt: 10 tablespoon

chopped Onion: 6 tablespoon

chopped Tomato: 3 tablespoon

chopped Cucumber: 6 tablespoon

chopped Green chilly: 1/2 tea spoon

chopped Coriander leaves: 1 table spoon

Salt: as per the taste

Method:

1. Take a salad bowl,  add chopped onions, green chilly, cucumber, tomatoes  mix well

2. Add yogurt mix well.

3. Keep in refrigerator for 15 minutes ( Optional step)

4. Salt & coriander leaves should be added & mixed well just before serving.


Note: 

1 tablespoon=15 ml

1 teaspoon= 5 ml


Normal yogurt is used.


Salt should be added just before serving, otherwise it makes yogurt watery and consistency will not be good.

If you dont like Green chillies, then you can substitute them with  Pepper powder.


I often make this because It is my sister´s favorite salad, i learnt this recipe from my Mom .
