Ingredients:
- Melted butter : 50 g
- Cane sugar/ brown sugar : 100 g
- Plain flour : 50 g
- Cinnamon powder : 1/2 tsp
Cake:
- Caster sugar : 175 g
- Sunflower oil : 4 tbsp
- Egg : 1 large
- Milk : 120ml
- Plain flour : 220g
- Baking powder : 2 tsp
- Salt: a pinch
- Fresh/canned cherries: 220 g
💁If you are using Canned Cherries, remove the liquid solution and use only the Cherries
Preparation :
Crumble :
- Mix all the crumble ingredients together and spread on plate. It will be used later.
Cake:
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees (Convection mode)
- Add sugar, oil, egg in a mixing bowl and whisk well using an electric whisk on a medium speed for 3 minutes
- Add 120 ml milk to the above mixture and whisk it for 1 minute on a low speed
- Add flour, baking powder, salt and whisk on medium-low speed for 2 minutes
- Add cherries and fold it gently into the cake batter
- Transfer the cake batter into cake tin and sprinkle over the crumble evenly on the cake
- Bake the cake for 50 to 55 minutes
- Insert a toothpick stick in the center of the cake, it should come out clean, that actually indicates your cake is done
- Take cake out of the oven and let it completely cool down

1 tbsp. : 1 tablespoon
